which polish after touch up?

after did touch up on chip then use some langka blob. i noticed the dark silver (metallic) touch up is dull than regular glossy paint on my 2008 mcs.

i do have these:
pc 7424 from tools-plus
4 (yellow, orange, white and black) pads (6") comes with backing plate (5") from dp
4 (cut, swirl, finish, amigo) polish from dp
2 (epic & banna glossy) wax from dp
1 black wow from dp (why mention this cuz put it on trim before polish and wax.)

which one polish and pad (color?) that you recommend me to use the polish and pad on only touch up area to remove the dull and match with the glossy paint?

You could get it done with either:
Orange pad and swirl (definitely)
White Pad and swirl (probably)
White pad and Finish (maybe)

Definitely do NOT need the yellow pad, or black pad, or Cut, or Amigo for this specific task.

Personally, I'd probably use a bit of ScratchX on a hand applicator for 30 seconds and be done. Using the machine is overkill for this unless you want to polish the whole panel (or car) to make the whole thing perfect while you're at it, IMHO.

If you didn't use the clear coat after smoothing the paint blob then this is probably why it is dull. When I do chip repair I will use the clear depending on how big the chip is. If the chip is large (+1/8"), I will take the paint blob down to slightly below surface, then blob some clear on and take it down flush.
I use a white pad and swirl on a 4 setting to go over repairs. Then Amigo on a white pad and finally Epic on a black.

Chuck speaks the truth. I was assuming you were using clearcoat properly... and had a little hazing due to the Langka treatment. So take either of our medicines based on whoever had the proper diagnosis.

PS. using the machine is still overkill for a chip repair.
