I have a california car cover I believe it is the stormweave the thickest of them all. Has anyone cleaned their car cover? Mine is starting to build up a little dirt and grime. Do I just send it through the wash? Thanks

Kimberly Clark, who makes the fabric for that cover, suggests you wash it with 2 cups of Fantastic All Purpose Cleaner in a large commercial (no agitator washer (like at a laundromat) with cold or warm (NOT HOT) water..

Give it 2 rinses, and then air dry (NOT in a dryer). You can put it on the car inside out to help dry. or put it on a clothes line (but I haven't seen one lately).

I wash my covers once a year just to be safe.
