Quick wash and Banana Gloss...
Well, today I was planning to do a medium size detail. After visiting OctageGuy and Hammerette to pick up some supplies (including BG), I set about it.
I live in an apartment complex that doesn't allow car washing, so I have to sneakily do it in my garage. 80f outside and lots of water in the garage makes for some interesting humidity!
Anyhow, I used the Nomad to wet the car down just before I filled my bucket with dawn/water. As I walked to switch the Nomad off, I stood on the hose with one foot, which yanked the trigger out of my hand. I then promptly kicked the trigger with my other foot, breaking the interlocking connector. Aaargh!
So a medium detail turned into a quick wash after all :(
Dirty Grumpy Car:
Shiny Happy Car:
The Money Shot (roof):
So this ended up being a two bucket wash with Mystique, some Meguiars wheel cleaner, followed by Banana Gloss which was stupidly easy to use with a skinny applicator and some Clarity on the glass.
Perhaps it didn't need that medium level detail after all.... did I mention that I really like the Banana Gloss - both for it's ease and it's drippy wet look?

Looks Great! You may be interested in Optimum No Rinse or Quick and Easy Wash for your garage washing. I like them so well I have not used a hose to wash in 6 years. I started this method due to restrictions here in Vegas and have continued even though restrictions have been lifted. Cars get washed weekly with no marring and very little water on the floor.

Nice! Looks like you have an infinity pool in the parking lot.

I ordered my BG a few days ago. Hope to have it by Saturday so I can try it out. Can't promise pics...but I'll try.

I wish I did, I love jet black, but I wanted the last of the 06's so it wasn't to be. In hindsight, it's probably a good thing - you can already see that I don't wash the car often enough to deserve a JB!

Ah yeah, the JBs were not produced nearly long enough.
I really want to start a petition to have MINI bring that color back. There is no other like it for reflection and pure beauty.
Hey... now that you have your MINI looking good as new, you're going to keep it looking that way, right ? RIGHT ??!!??

Nope... not Jet Black... another metallic black. But they're getting closer, no blue in this color, I hear. Real black.

Aww, I do really like AB though, for what it is. Really pretty in different lighting!
