I completed my first detail with PC DA RO. That's right i went all out with the naming convention. I'm very excited with the results and i figured i would share.
below are the pictures of my test spot.
i forgot.
this was 2 passes of Swirl with the Orange pad and one pass of Amigo on White and Epic on Black.
I'm recently converted to OCDetailing and this has been bothering for a month. I discovered that they were actually coming from my favorite drive through car wash.
to lose these i took:
yellow pad and swirl one pass to get to the second photo. from there i did one pass of Orange pad and swirl one pass of Amigo. i have not applied Epic yet.
The Gray stuff was much more aggressive and i used it for my Boot. this was perfect because someone hit me in a parking lot and regardless of what i was going to do i needed to replace the bumper skin. It actually worked out just fine after buffing so this is nice. i'll be able to use it before polishing but not as a spot clay like the Pinnacle Blue i used. that stuff was very mild but worked great.
Man, why'd you have to go an post this thread today!!
I just talked myself out of dropping the $250 for the PC plus Prima pads, fluids, etc... I was perfectly happy to just clay and Epic it and call it good. Now I'm back to the brink of buying more "spa shampoo for my car" (as my wife calls the Prima goodies), and neglecting the yardwork for another weekend.
No, I believe the last guy to take a PC to Clara was a true expert <g>
But my elbow kills with the PC...sends that chip that's rattling around in there into overdrive. I really *could* do it myself but it would take a loooong time.
Car looks great! I was actually looking through your flicker that you posted on Show Car Detailing. Any reason you didnt skip the finish and use Swirl on a white pad? I have had good results doing that. Amigo is great stuff! I will agree with you there. I also liked your style of test spot!

I share your enthusiasm. This past weekend I used all my new toys and stripped (Dawn), Black Wowed, clayed, Amigo'd (white pad) and Epic'd (by hand) my 07 Pepper white. Wow! I can't stop going out to the garage just to see what "I had done". I think the Amigo step actually made the most dramatic difference. Took 5 hours but an afternoon with my favorite brother in law (lotsie) was well worth it.

Thanks about the test spot.
i really just wanted to see what Finish could do and i was really surprised at the result. it's a pretty nice product.
Swirl is so versatile here and everyone uses it for everything. yellow to white pad i figured finish was for something so i checked it out and after the one pass i knew i was in great shape! so why use up all that Swirl?
