Is googone safe on the paint finish?

Hey guys, I've got some cosmolene on the painted area on the car where the door hinge is. Is putting some googone on there safe for the paint finish? Alternatively, I could use some simple green. Would either of these hurt the paint finish?

Both should be fine. I used GooGone to get off old stripes. Just make sure you wash and re-wax after!

Sorry about asking this if it was asked before. I did do a search, but I didn't quite get back exactly what I liked.

russr- dont worry about it. at least you're not asking what Hydro is.

then there might be some serious spanking.
