OctaneGuy's PC DVD Conversion Notes and Tips

From a recent conversation with a customer, it became apparent that this information should be shared to everyone who is watching my DVD and using Prima.

OctaneGuy's PC DVD Notes:

Be sure to set aside 2.5 hours to watch it. Also there are some slight variations with the DVD and Prima. I feature the Meguiar's system,
and the primary difference is that you should ignore the parts about the 15 to 20 pounds of pressure on the PC. With Prima it's the weight of the machine or a few pounds more. The rotation of the pad is key and very important.

Also references to the W8006 polishing pad you would use either the Orange or White pad. So for instance on the DVD you could use these variations.

Instead of W8006 pad and M83 polish choose Orange Pad and Swirl
Instead of W8006 pad and M80 polish choose White Pad and Swirl
Instead of W9006 pad and NXT Tech Wax choose Black Pad and Epic

Instead of W8006 pad and M82 or #9 (Swirl Remover 2.0) choose White Pad and Finish or Amigo

Instead of #7 Show Car Glaze use Amigo

The section on using NXT Spray Wax is relevant only to that product. Hydro is simply sprayed on the freshly rinsed paint and wiped dry.

For clarification: PC Speeds are accurate. 5 or 6 to remove defects and 3 to apply wax.

Removing wax can be done with a bonnet or just by hand (my preference and with a Monster Fluffy or MF Starfish Mitt).

We show Supreme Shine microfiber towels in the video, substitute with either the Platinum Dual Pile or microfiber Starfish mitts.

Hope that helps clarify things.

Richard
