I just placed an order at DP for the starter kit II bundle along with Nero, Hyrdo, Nourish, and Amigo.
My MCS is an '03 that will need the full clay/amigo/epic treatment.
We also just bought a new 2008 Mazda CX-7. Is it overkill to use Amigo on a brand new car? Or even clay for that matter? Was thinking of just washing with dish soap and using Epic.
i don't think so. i'm still a newb with Prima but Amigo is mostly a filler and prewax i would say its a great idea especially if you mazda is a dark color.

Not overkill on a new car, just depends on how it was delivered to you.
Most new cars can benefit from clay. Just use the baggie test. Put a sandwich bag on your hand and rub it on the clean paint. If it feels rough you need to clay, even on an new car.
As far as Amigo or any other polish, just look in the sunshine to see if it is needed. If the paint is good just use Epic to seal the paint.
Lets face it, once the folks at the dealership give your car the free wash during prep, you probably got some swirls. using Amigo is a good way to make them disappear.

If they are light swirls, Hydro will help hide them as well. But clay and Amigo are a good combination before Epic. Clay will sheer any bonded contaminates and Amigo will clean the paint and fill the swirls.
Thanks for all the feedback, I was a little scared posting in this forum... saying the wrong thing here is like hating on RMW or loving M7 in the drivetrain forum
The car is pearl-y white, we've only had it for a few days and not much sunshine in Pac NW these days so I haven't been able to check for swirls. But yes, they did "wash" it right before they drove it up.
Looks like I'll be giving both cars a full workover this weekend. Hopefully my order comes in time. I'm just dreading all the large panels on the CX-7 compared to the MINI
Looking forward to sharing the rave reviews on all the prima products. I've been using zaino on the outside and 303 on the inside. Ran out of Zaino and since I've discovered the B.O smell is from the 303 and not working up a sweat cleaning the car I'm gonna switch to Nero.

As long as I'm moderating this forum, and the regulars that help keep this the friendly forum it is, post anything, ask away, make fun of Ken, or me, or ChiliPepJet, to name a few, and we will help as best we can
