Baby's First Bath...

Okay...so, I've had my mini for exactly 9 days , and it's overdue for a first wash

Never been one to fuss too much about this sorta thing, but something's changed. I love my MINI. I'm terrified of putting scratches/swirls/cheap product slime over my paint and vinyl. Done lots of reading here, seems like a Prima package is the way to go, and was about to order (postponing baby's first bath until the stuff arrives), but got confused about Hydro.

As it's a new car, can I wash and then Hydro, or do I need to lay down a layer of Epic first??? then Hydro???

Also - do you do inside the car first, then outside? Windows last?

I know, I know, have I never washed a car before? Well, yes, but it was a pick-up truck...detail?? Dirt was the detail!

Thanks

Well, okay. There are lots of ways to go about it, to be honest. Wash/Hydro is probably the easiest way to go about it. However, I sleep better knowing there's a long-term layer of Epic on my MINI. So I do a round of Epic 3 times a year, and then Hydro with each wash.

Same here. I felt better once I sealed the paint with Epic, and use hydro to put the shine and glassyness (if that's a word) on the paint.

So, i'm still waiting on my mini, but expect once it gets here, i'll become very detailed like the rest of you.

Hydro? Epic? Someone explain.

Look here for a start;

Then read the stickies at the top of this forum, then read pages and pages of posts

Ask stuff, someone here, or many here will have an opinion
