Chances of removing bonnet stripes on electric blue metallic?

I'm looking at a used '03 electric blue metallic MCS and on this car the bonnet stripes are looking pretty old and are not quite my style.

Seeing as they have been on there 4 years, is there too great of a chance they will not come off cleanly? I loved the car's drive, but the white wheels and the bonnet stripes might break it for me. The wheels could be winter only, so I'm hoping I can do something on the stripes...

My main concerns are the differences in paint fade/haze over time. I'm certainly no professional detailer but I'd be willing to pau someone to even the paint out if needed (as long as it's possible).

I'm pretty geeked about the car, it's pretty close to what I would order new (except the wheels).

hard to tell from just words... but it might be worth a try to have them
remove it. if there's noticable fade put a ghost stripe over it so it's not
a solid white stripe but a super light gray (frosted) look.

my 03 is garaged most of the time so there is absolutely no fading.

Even if there is some fading, although unlikely on a car that's well cared for, it might be a cool effect to have 'ghost stripes' on the car. White wheels are easily painted with good results. There are some threads wherein people painted thier s-lites black. Looked quite sharp.
