Prima Nero usage question
Hi all,
First off, I am not a MOCD detailer, but I am a frequent washer and Hydro user.
Yesterday, I finally broke down an cleaned the interior of the MINI and used Nero for the first time. A couple of things struck me as I was doing my cleanup.
1. When you attempt to use the spray bottle for application, I was getting a lot of over spray, so I gave up on that near the windows.
2. I use a cheaper clean MF towel to apply Nero which worked fine, thus I have a couple of questions on technique.
1. When you use a MF for application, do you soak the towel and apply until the surface looks wet then wipe dry or do you apply a reasonable amount with the sprayer to the MF, then apply and let sit, then wipe the residue? (kinda two questions here).
2. I use Clarity to clean up the inside windows and the chrome surfaces then do a little wipe down with Hydro on the piano black, is this a technique others are using?
Any thoughts, help or critique is appreciated. Remember I only vac the MINI about every other month other than shake the rubber mats free of peebles.

as far as Nero, i spray 4-5 times into my MF towel and wet down the
dash, door panels for full coverage. it's a pretty wet application.
then i go back with a fresh dry MF towel and soak up any excess.
turns out to a nice matte finish.
for leatherettes, i use 50/50 with water... either make a new bottle
or do wat i do... 2 squirts into the mf towel, then 2squirts of water into
the towel and apply.
the go back again with a fresh mf towel and soak up any excess.

Yeah Don, I usually spritz on a cheap orange Target MF and wipe down. I don't worry about going back over it later though. I hate getting Nero on the painted surfaces or even the glass since it leaves a smudge. You're right though Clarity cuts it right off. I also use Nero on the inside of my top, but I guess you don't have to worry about that.

Has anyone used Nourish on leather seats in their mini? Or would you use Lexol? Is there a better product?

I've used Nourish on the leather seats in my wife's Expedition. I really like it. The smell is of leather, but not as strong as the Zaino product which is perhaps a bit too much (and it lingers). The leather really soaked it up and the finish is a soft sheen; not glossy nor matte, but in-between.
Note that Nourish is not a cleaner, just a conditioner so if the seats need cleaning use something before the Nourish.
