Cleaning JCW floormats??

Hey everybody,

I've been looking for a way to clean my JCW floormats (specifically the grey bits of the checkerboard pattern) but I haven't found anything in the forums. I find lots of stuff for the regular black rubber mats, but so far nothing that will help with grey. So far I've tried everything from Armor All to simple Windex and everything in between I can think of but nothing gets the grey to be..well...lighter grey.

Any ideas?

If it is rubber then you can try Meguiars M39 or Lexol vinyl cleaner.

Its not rubber, though. Thats the problem. Its almost like a woven fabric. It occurred to me while putting on my sneakers that its almost the same as the fabric in a running shoe. I'm going to see if a sneaker cleaner works and let everyone know.

But you can also cross off Meguires carpet cleaner off the list. Tried that one earlier today without any success.

I use Griot's Interior Cleaner to get grunge off my headliner. I was amazed at how easily it all came off.

you may have to use a Bissell's little Green Machine to remove it. I use that for all carpet and upholstery cleaning.

They are textured rubber. I just dampen them and lightly use a tire brush with some car wash then rinse them off, not getting the carpet part to wet. Dry them off with a towel and their good as new. Been doing this every week for a year now with no problems....

Put them in the tub with some liquid laundry soap and hot water. Let soak and scrub with a brush. Not sure what the JCW one's look like but this is what I do for carpet and rubber.
