big scratch need help

i have a large scratch on my car ( i know its not a MINI but i need help) and i need to know how to get it out. its not trough the paint its just on the surface. i dont know what or who did it but i need it gone before this weekend. here are pictures. thanks you!!

Try buffing it out -- I think even places like Target sells the clearcoat buffing compounds.

try some scratchx with a foam pad.

as far as i can tell from that pict, that scratch is through the base coat.

If you can catch the scratch by dragging you finger nail across it, you will be hard-pressed to buff it out. Touch-up paint, wet sanding or body shop time more than likely.

i cant catch it by dragging my nail across it. ill get some scratch x either tonight or tomorrow and do it. hopefully it will work

The Scratch-X should help, but as mentioned above, the fact that you can catch it with your nail suggests that it's gonna be tough to remove completely. It's a good place to start. To really get at it, you will probably need a pro w/ an rotary buffer.

Sounds like you'll have a chance with ScratchX then. Just rub until your arm falls off. It may take multiple applications.
