So if you didn't use, or don't use NERO...

...what would you or do you use?

Griot's Garage Vinyl/Rubber Dressing. In fact, I still use it on the tires, but I pretty much Nero on all the other vinyl/plastic now.

Depends on what you're using it on.

Interior stuff, 303 Aerospace Protectant. Exterior trim, Black Wow.

Is that because you're using NERO (or something else) instead of the Griot's stuff?

I love Nero it smells so good... but not as good as Hydro nothing will take its place as best smelling car care product. I only use Nero for interior and under the hood. I have been using a bunch of different products on the tires to try to find something I like.

303 Aerospace Protectant is my second choice. Does not smell as good as Nero but it does leave a nice matte finish and it actually has more UV protection than Nero. I also use Einszett 1Z Plastic Cleaner when I need more muscle. It smells of lemon but really has a lot of cleaning power.

303, Zaino's Z-9 Soft Leather Cleaner and their Z-10 Leather in a Bottle. The Leather in a Bottle smells fantastic, just like real leather. It does a great job of bringing back that new car smell.

If you use BW, it restores the trim rather than dying it.

303 on the inside.

I just used a new product on the outside this weekend: VRT (Vinyl/Rubber/Trim) Dressing from Adam's Polishes. It's great stuff to work with. It goes on very evenly using their detailing sponges, and easily wipes off of paint and glass with a MF cloth.

I also used their In & Out Spray which is the same kind thing, but in aerosol form. It smells highly toxic, but it worked great on the cowl vents, rear bumper "vents," lower front grill and the little black plastic bars that show through the bumper where front fogs would go. It would take a lot of work and time to get those items coated with any other kind of protectant, but In & Out took care of them in seconds. Any overspray wiped off easily.

It was the first time I used these products, so I don't know how they'll hold up, but they were great to use at least.
