How do you remove gum on the carpet?

Hi everyone,

I'm going on an all out detailing escapade today. One main issue I want to tackle is to remove some gum that got on my shoe one day that I then transferred to the carpeted mat. doesn anyone have any ideas how to remove the gunk?

Here is a low-tech idea to add to the more sophisticated advice you'll get.

Duct-tape. You won't believe some of the sticky stuff I have gotten off with that it. And icing down the gum is a big Martha Stewart trick.

Ice, goo-gone, peanut butter, duct tape.

Ice and duct tape work on the stuff above the surface. If it's ground in at ALL, you'll need the goo-gone or peanut butter.

WD-40!
That will do the trick! Then clean it out with soap and water after.
