I just bought a tub of Zymol Creame, and it came with an applicator. Reading the instructions, looks like they want you to use the applicator--yet I hear everyone on the board talking about applying the wax by hand. I like the sound of the hand wax style, but I'm wondering: is it doable with all of the Zymol waxes? Is it more or less beneficial to use the applicator?
I have recently purchased a tub of Zymol carbon and I was asking myself the same question. I opened the jar and rubbed my finger across the wax and it was soft and spreadable.
I believe the Zymol website's instruction to rub the wax "between your fingers til' it melts" was only if the wax was hard or depending on the current weather. During the winter months we may have problems with it spreading easily, but as hot as it is here in the bay area I shouldn't have any problems applying it my baby.
Come home Pooky Jr. so Mama can give you a good cleaning!
Rub it in with your hands, just don't let the wife or girfriend see you do it, or they'll get jealous!!

Have I been getting it wrong all these years? I always thought a waxing by hand meant that it's not applied with a machine. It seems to me that if you put wax on with your hands, that you would get an uneven coat or have streaking. Also, if you have rough hands wouldn't you potentaly scratch?
If it's so, why not use your toes to get the lower areas?
The glaze that comes with the MINI kit (the color coordinated bags) is applied with your fingers. The Carbon and/or Creme is done with an applicator. I prefer the rectangle terry-cloth ones over the round-spongy ones.
