Microfiber washmitt?

I saw some new microfiber washmitts today; they were essentially a mitt with a whole bunch of little microfiber "noodles" attached to it. Sort of like the head of a decapitated Raggedy Ann doll.

Are these things any good, or should I stick with my 100% sheepskin washmitt (which will need replacing soon)?

with my sheepskin mitt, if I pick up a piece of a leaf somehow, when I dunk it in my bucket and scrub for a second with my fingers, the mitt releases it easily......one thing I don't like about microfiber products is that you have to pick out by hand any little abrasive particle...very annoying

I'll second what umberto says. MF tends to hold dirt and grit more so than sheepskin. I do however use a MF mitt for my wheels. Just can't stand having my little lambs getting brake dust all over them.

Does it release the dirt? The biggest problem I have is with bug parts. Even in the sheepskin the bug parts get caught and I have to pick them out. Bug parts on the wheels really get caught-up in the MF and I usually go and get some needle nose pliers to pull them out.
Perhaps Groits has a different MF weave or something that will not hold on to things so much.

the mitt works fine. the noodles do not hold much of anything other than
car soap.

i holds some grit like any washmitt, but that's wat the washbucket and
its grill are for.

Love that micro fiber wash pad from Griot's. Far heavier than ones from Costco or other sources. Can't speak to the bugs sticking to it, though. I just use my cheapy microfibers on the wheels.

Must be nice. I still don't have my wash bucket and my grill would not get the mit cleaner, that's for sure.

I just noticed on that link there's car washing rubbers. Some people must really get into this cleaning stuff.

Confirmed. I have two of the Griot's MF mitts (cool colors, too... flourescent orange and bright green).

I never have a problem with any debris or grit getting caught up in them.

Knowing Ken and me, do you REALLY think we'd use them if they didn't leave our cars immaculate ?????

I got the Groit's mits, too. I don't put my hand in them because once I did and it wouldn't let go.

I'm motoring off to Griot's to get more goodies. I'll check on the design progress of THE WASH BUCKET while I am there
