Surface Scratch.. not deep!

Hi,

my neighboors.. .. opened their doors on my car some careless students.. and had a scratch on my car... i asked them they told me we dont know who did it!!

its not a ding or a scratch that was deep into the paint.. its just on the surface like a dirt scratch but i think its just on the surface... best product to remove it??

If the dent is on the door panel then you could always try and see if this works: paintless dent removal with air duster (http://www.metacafe.com/watch/501379...ith_airduster/)

Or if its on plastic, I have no idea...

Great advice there! Scratch X is the first thing I reach for when I get a tiny scuff like you describe, though I usually just grab a cheap microfiber cloth to use as an applicator, but Kenchan's foam applicator is a better idea. Mine's quicker, though, as you can apply with one side and buff it off with the other.

agranger - nice to see you back in the Detailing Forum! I still blame you and BradB for making me OCD.

Now that I've actually GOT a MINI (I spent 2 years lurking on NAM and posting in the detailing forum before I cound recover from a job layoff and get Jango), I've been much more active on my local board... Now I really just pop onto NAM to check out the parts-for-sale forum, but I couldn't resist checking the detailing forum last night.

I'm glad to hear that there are cleaner MINIs out there in the world thanks to our efforts! :P
