Ok, this is sort of a follow up to my last thread but enough different that I thought I'd separate it out. Was thinking of trying Zaino AIO before jumping into either the full line of Prima or Zaino.
Has anybody tried ZAIO on it's own? Is there a Prima equivalent? Or would the equivalent just be Epic? So confused, mind numbing, threads running together
Ok, slapped myself, feeling muuuuch better now...
If I had to just get one Prima Product to ease myself into the line what would it be?
Zaino's new product: AIO does not have a Prima equivalent. AIO is a cleaner and sealant (thus All In One) similar to the Klasse AIO.
With the Prima line you would need to use either Swirl (diminishing abrasive for removing swirls) or Amigo (cleaner and filler) in combination with Epic (sealant/wax). Both Zaino and Prima lines are synthetic so they will last a lot longer than natural-based products.
I've tried the new Zaino CS product and I'm not sure I like it. It didn't really provide much shine and the durability is suspect. I've used Zaino in the past and in spite of what you might read from others that have not used the system, it is not complex nor overly time consuming. The Zaino products are very durable and give a nice shine.
That said, I have switched to the Prima line because they provide excellent durability, a fantastic glossy shine and for me they are local. This means I can go in and talk with Heather and Nick about product usage, design and features.
So if you go with Zaino and do the Z-5/Z-2 steps you will get a good looking shine with great durability. If you go with Amigo/Epic you will get a great looking shine and great durability.
Don't get confused by some who tout Hydro as a replacement for Epic. Hydro is a great booster and shine enhancer. It helps with drying and offers added protection - however if you want true protection use Hydro over Epic for maximum durability and fantastic shine. Don't take my word for it, ask Heather (the Queen of Clean), she builds it!

minimaybee- you are still confused. NEVER did i say Hydro is a
replacement for Epic.
Hydro is a replacement and a great compromise for someone that wants
a great looking car that does not have time to do a full detail time and
time again.
if staying within the Zaino line and are doing a full treatment with a PC, then use their Z-PC swirl remover then follow with the Z-AIO to remove any slight hazing left over from the Z-PC and this preps the car for the Z-2....worked well for me, although not sure I even really needed the Z-AIO as after the Z-PC it looked great, but I had the Z-AIO so I used it.
I think Umberto that the Z-AIO is supposed to be a cleaner and a sealant. Although I agree with you that the Z-2 would look good over the Z-AIO. Maybe even add a few Z-5 steps.
I really like the Z-PC, I think it is slightly more aggressive than the Prima Swirl and it wipes off very easily.
Hi Minimaybee......back 2 months ago, I called Zaino to ask if I need to wash Z-AIO off prior to Z-2, or if I do need to use Z-2 at all after the Z-AIO....Sal said that yes, you can use the AIO as a good stand alone treatment, but the Z-2 will be better and last long...and that you don't need to wash it off, just let it dry thoroughly and buff off then apply Z-2 and the AIO can be applied by PC ( which I did) or by hand
