Had mine 3 weeks, washed it 6 times. That's the truth. The good news is I only pay about $3/wash in the coinop stalls, whereas I used to use full service car washes that charged about $10. Washing expenses are up overall, but that's OK.

I wash mine about every 7-10 days, and use Slick (detail spray) as needed - usually about every 3 days. I'll clean the windshield as needed though, even if it's once a day - I hate crap on the windsheild.

I try to wash at least once a week with a quick detail spray during the middle of the week to keep my Zaino shining. I'm looking to add Hydro into the mix starting with my next wash.
Newt, prepare yourself for an onslaught of posts suggesting that you should keep your car away from those car washes.

Nah the coinop, spray kind are safe enough. Of course unless you break out a wash mitt they really don't get the MINI good & clean but no harm done unless you break down & use that scrubber brush thingie

Out here in California, once you wash it, then use a duster it will stay clean for a couple of weeks. I do use a spray wash on the sides every now an then.
I wash my MINI's like I wash our dogs: when they need it real bad!

NOOOOO!!!! Say it ain't so! Coins are for laundry and vending machines, not washing cars.
Just kidding, to each his own. If I didn't have a hose hook-up I'd use a coin-op place myself (I just wouldn't use any of their tools/products).
Once a week generally...sometimes twice. We've been in a drought so the duster has worked very well for extending these times. I dust several times a day and use OD liberally. My MINI seldom stays dirty for more than two days.
Once a week unless it rains... If it rains I do it again (if time permits). Quick details in between and a california duster every morning. However... in the winter its dirty as h311 so summer washes make up for lost time.
