Car Cover Care?

My co-worker was telling me how she used the car cover for her Mustang to shield it from the snow over the weekend. This is one of the custom fit covers (cost about $300+). She said it looked rather dirty afterwards and she is not sure how to clean it.

I know several of you (from the photos) use custom covers for your MINIs. Can anyone share some care advice on how to take care of these for her?

Thanks!

Tell her to look for a care tab on the cover, similar to what you'd find on clothing.
If her washing machine has an extra gentle or hand washable cycle, she can wash it in there with some Woolite. If not, it'd have to be done in a bathtub.
Just make sure it's rinsed well...and hang it to dry.

According to the instructions BMW suggests using ONLY Simple Green (spray on it) and to put the cover in the washer (delicate cycle) to rinse out but do not use softner.

The car cover usually don't have instruction labels on it as the label could scratch the car.
