DC Metro area, winter potholes report

Winter is here, and the scarely potholes are starting to reveal itselves. If you saw any pothole, please help us by sharing the informations.
Please add the date that you last saw it and how bad the pothole is (rated from 1 to 5, 1 is mildly bad and 5 is must avoid at all cost )

495 Outer Loop, a little bit (200+yards) after exit 40 (Cabin John exit),
Multiple potholes on the second lane from the right.
Last seen on 1/3/08.
Dangerous point 3.

Yo Chris,

No way you can rate a pothole ! You gotta avoid all of them !

I have no potholes to report but can say Jericho Park Road by Bowie State is getting very rough, only a matter of time till a MINI monster opens its mouth,

Cheers,

Mike

Great idea, Chris. And with the number of potholes in this area during the winter, this thread could hit 6 billion pages by March.

Rt 26 Eastbound, about 2 miles west of Eldersburg. Near the white line on the far right edge of the travel lane.

I'd rate it a solid 2.5 on the Chrichter Scale. Not huge, but it'll rattle your teeth and not good for your strut tower.

you might as well say the entire DC metro area is one big pot hole, cuz it is. by the end of the winter 495 looks like an exploded minefield.

The patch crew was out last week (first week of Jan.) along Rt. 50 and a few other major roads in Arlington, they got a big one filled at the EB Rt. 50 bridge over Columbia Pike.

Anyway, I hope it's ok to ask this here, as a non-mini owner, do you guys see strut tower mushrooming (and other problems) due to the roads around here? Do you run strut tower braces? Just curious how bad it really is. I'll probably order one soon anyway. (been driving a 4x4 in the area, don't notice the potholes unless they are huge and deep)
