Why YES! there are. Marina (Lastrega) is working out the details for the parades, and I am working out the details of the cookout (to be held at WS Motorcars)
Now there are a couple of small issues...There are two parades we typically do each year, the Capitol Hill Parade, and the Annapolis Parade, with the DC one early in the morning, and Annapolis later in the day after lunch.
There will be no limit of cars for the DC parade, but there will be a limit of cars for the Annapolis one. Details to post later.
The parades will be MINI/Mini only (meaning you have to be driving a MINI/Mini to be in them) since they are what people want to see. It will also be a DCMM member only event (Meaning that you can't invite a friend to DRIVE who isn't a club member) but you can have as many passengers as your baby will hold!
There will be an all inclusive pot luck cookout held at WS Motorcars in Annapolis. Ben and his gang are willingly allowing us to use their place, grill, and hoses for our babies. More details to come for this fun event. Want to see fireworks? Well, after we gorge ourselves on burgers and hot dogs, Marina (may) allow people over to her place in Annapolis to watch them!
So YES! we are going to do something FUN!!!! for the 4th
Once I have the details for the Annapolis parade, I will open it up on RSVP. Till then, you all just have to wait. Since there is a CAR limit, I will announce a countdown for when I open the RSVP up so it will be first come first count on there. I am not going to keep a list, so it will have to be on the calendar, but here is the thing...like Jay and I, if you have ONE MINI and two screen names, please don't RSVP both of them...It is a CAR limit...and since it is a car limit, if you have more than one MINI, ride with your SO and let another car in the line.
So here is how many it will be 20 cars. 20 ONLY. We can't take up all the Annapolis parade....and again, I will NOT accept rsvp's on the thread, so you will have to wait to get in on the calendar, sorry...like I said, I am NOT going to keep a list, I want to make it fair for everyone to get in on it.
These two parades are MINI/Mini ONLY and DCMM members ONLY.
Details to come for both the Capitol Hill and Annapolis parades in the near future
