BBCooper - I don't suppose you have had any requests for R55 Clubman srf's yet have you?

I've got a Dark Silver S w/Pure Silver Roof and Boot trim if you'd like a guinea pig!

If you are interestd in editing your own icon file, be sure to check out the add-ons directory on that site.. You might find a few things to help you with our editing. Lastly, I recommend GIMP for the edit. PhotoShop does not work well with the png format & the conversion utility..

See my post earlier in this thread for how-tos and other recommendations..

Hope that helps,

BB - I see that Garmin as a carConvertible.srf file on their site. Any chance you could use the interior from that to create a MINI convertible?

New feature icons.. :-(

Well bottom line is that I have had a few things come up that have taken over my icon editing time.. The simple requests, I still work in.. But new features like the viper stripes, convertible interiors, and the clubman line I am really not ready to take on at this time..

I keep the requests in my PM box with the intention of when I get time, I know where to start..

Maybe there is someone else that is ready to pick up the editing?? I have left notes in this thread on the software and process of how I do this already. If there is someone that does, please send me a PM and I can get you connected with the website person for the uploads, then all these icons can be in one place.

Many thanks for the feedback, glad you all are enjoy the MINIs in your MINIs

Thank you, BB Cooper

I so appreciate all the work you have put into this. I don't know if everyone knows how much you put into this. I, for one, am thrilled with these cars.

I agree.. -- perhaps its time you enjoyed a vacation from your diligence..

as for any other up-and-coming artists striving for international icon fame, a DS/DS MCS with chrome mirrors and black viper stripes throughout would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you BB!!!!!!!
I am very happy with my Nuvi image...
The CR/W hardtop with white stripes is a perfectly fine embodiment of my former CR/W hardtop, and my CR ragtop with white stripes that I drive now.

Hmmm - a convertible srf? WIth 1, 2, 3, or 4 people in it? blondes, brunettes - what kind of clothes would we be wearing...

Nah - I'm thrilled with my close approzimation.
Everyone I know is insanely jealous now of my Garmin. And it looks alot more like my car than the "red sedan" or "fire engine" srf did!!!
(Though I do relate to the Santa Sleigh icon around Christmas time -
Hey - THAT'S a convertible, I think!!!!!

I know how much work can be involved with something liek this, and really appreciate what you've done already.

I just got a Garmin Nuvi 760 and was told to check out this site for a MINI icon to match my car. Being basically computer illiterate, I have to ask if someone can make me a Sparkling Silver MCS Sidewalk Cabrio with black bonnet stripes or does one already exist and I just can't find it?

The closest created to that is in this directory on the icon site. I think the Silver with Ktop and K stripes is your match.

For a how-to install this icon file.. check out post #74

Happy Motoring,

Check out the files here.. Not sure of your stripe configuration.. But for the convertibles, I recomend using the Ktop - looks like the top is up.. I have not been able to create the top down look..

Enjoy

Thanks BBCooper. You made it so easy even I could do it! I went with the sparkling silver without stripes cause the color on the silver was just too far off. It still looks great. But if you ever add stripes to it, let me know. Or if you ever add a cabrio. Thanks again.

BBCooper - gotta say thanks again...
These are very fun, and beautifully done.
I went for the CR/W roof white stripes - that was my first MINI. Now I have a CR vert with stripes - doesn't matter at all that there's no ragtop version - What would you do - have diffrent upholstery options???? Have little people in it?

Thanks for making these available to us.

are you referring to the image that is displayed at power-up? If so here's is how to do it.

1. Load any jpg image onto the Garmin into the jpeg folder. You will need to be connected to a PC.
2. Disconnect and power up the Garmin.
3. Go to Settings --> Picture Viewer and scroll until you find the picture.
4. Select the picture to view.
5. In the upper left corner there will be a check box that says "Display at Power-up". Select this and a check will appear. I cant remember if there is a "Save" option.
6. Power it off and restart. The image should be displayed at start up.

I am going off memeroy since mine is tucked safely aweay in the hidden complartment in my parking garage so hopefully I did not forget anything and the verbiage of the Garmin's prompts may be a little different. If any one sees anything that is not correct please post the corrctions.

Excellent work... Thank you!

I'm using the DS/B with no stripes & loving it. Would your sunroof work show up on the Black roof?

New Body color Hot Orange... coming soon

Ok I squeaked this one in... I had a request for a Hot Orange body color and realized that I did not create that combination... ..yet... I just finished up the easy combinations - white roof with and without stripes & sun roof, also black roof with and without stripes.. They should be up on the web site here in a few days...

Rexicon --about the Clubman request... If there was an icon file already created for the Clubman this would be easy enough.. However, I dont have the ability to "stretch" the MINI icons I use now... Sorry.. Maybe MINI will release an icon file for the Clubman Nuvi option??

Enjoy the new files..

Customized my Nuvi 250W ~ Thanks to All !

Thanks to all whom contributed to this thread.

My Nuvi now has a custom splash screen and DS MCS Icon on my 260W.

It now looks like the OEM factory option. Added a dark silver MC with Black roof, and enabled the English speaking Gal from Great Brit to do my driving directions......like driving in London ! lol.

In my past year's membership, I have contributed some, and learned much from many here, and truely appreciate everyone's 2 cents.

ok, i came here to find some info on installing a fog light assembly, and somehow ended up in this thread. I now have my nfr mc in my nuvi, and about to add some pictures, thanks guys...
I do have a question, besides the brief time when you first turn on the nuvi, why else, when else would you use pictures.

I also saw mention of listening to music thru nuvi, via the aux port. Mine is a 200, does not have the round hole, just the usb on the back, and what looksl like a memory stick slot on the side. So is there any other way to connect it to the car speakers?
