When are the '07 ready to come out?

Hey everyone,

I am almost ready to order my Mini, but I was wondering how much time is left on the '06 model and when the '07 is gonna come out. Do I have a week left? Do I have a whole bunch of time? On the international site they have already switched over, so does anybody have a clue?

Depends on where you are! Some dealer's may take orders through September, but many stopped mid-August... The last 'custom' 06s will be produced in Sept/Oct. then they will all be pre-speced. The 07s are thought to begin in November....

Rasmussen in Portland said MINI would start building 07's in September, and delivery of their test cars would be about February. I didn't ask how long the list is here. I really want to try one on for size...

Here in CO the dealer's allottments are higher, and the wait list is gone. My MA told me that next month they would spec their last 06, for delivery in December. My MA also said that they'd get their first 07 demos sometime between Xmas and MLK day. They expect to start speccing 07s around Halloween, for tentative Feb-March delivery, for all of those who need not see/drive a demo and order one blind.

There doesn't seem to be any cutoff date for cabrios tho.

Of course this seems to change every week, they once said their last 06 would be ordered by end of July. Who knows?
