Both look amazing...I doubt they'd do the front for me if they won't do the sunroof....Mach V Dan, yours looks a lot different than mine..The no sunroof makes a world of difference. I was quoted 130-150 to go pitch black or pretty close to it on the back 3. I'll try to get some picks up next week it's suppose to be nice.

In NC, 35% is the limit, so rather than attract more attention from the troopers, I decided to stay there. Remember, the glass already has some tint as it is, so adding a 35% tint film over the already slightly tinted glass is really all you should need.
On my Astro Black '08 MCS, I did 35% all around (not front), and I have no sunroof. Black interior stays cool (white roof and no sunroof helps), and I can see just fine.
In some states you pay an additional fee when you have your car inspected as they meter the glass to make sure you are legal.

It's 35% in WV too. I live right next to the PA border in the northern panhandle. I thought it was 35% for front 2 doors and I can get whatever on the rear 3. That's what they told me, but I looked at the state laws on the internet and it says 35 all around. I think I'm cancelling my appointment.

for Huper Optik films.
1) Superior infrared reduction
2) Optically purer: no noticeable distortion / antiglare
3) No annoying diffraction over the defroster lines when compared to regular films
I regretted not getting coated sideview mirrors when I picked up the car.... then I put the Huper Optik & the night time glares from sideview mirrors are history !!

35% is not that bad at night/dusk. 15% was a bit difficult to deal with in complete darkness (I took out a mailbox with my previous car, but I was off the road and in complete darkness).
The big theory here is that tint laws are for Police safety - they need to know where your hands are when they approach the vehicle.
I personally won't go below 35% on the fronts, but I know a lot of people who do. The only regrets I heard from them were because of getting ticketed repeatedly, not that they can't see at night.
i have gotten pulled over twice in jersey for window tints. cant do anything cuz i got md plates!
plus, i go to school in PA... havnt gotten into trouble there but i dont think they can do anything if your car is from a different state... anybody know?
20s all the way around cept for fronts.... extreme view, not this dark in real life

Total BS on the sunroof shattering due to tint. I've had many sunroofs in cars tinted. My Cooper S sun roof is tinted 5% Limo no issues and it's been out in the sun for 2 weeks 100 degree temps.
Just to make sure this is not some sort of Mini issue and since I am new with Mini's I called my dealer whom has 1/2 their stock tinted and they said there is no issue with tinting the sunroof and they have been doing it for a long time.
I agree, scheduled another tint shop for tomorrow afternoon. Going with 35% all the way around, did not want it to be to dark but just to keep the heat down, I am frying in midday traffic.

It will help a lot. I did 35% all the way around and 5% Limo on the sunroof. I can still see through the sunroof just fine too.
