Took a run over to the Jeffersonville mall in Ohio Labor day, and wasn't paying
close enough attention to the speedo <g>.
A member of Galia county's finest picked me out of the group in traffic, and got
me for 75 in a 65 zone. (I guess it wasn't the motorcycles behind me's day <g>)
Good news was the cost of the ticket wasn't as bad as I expected. Just over $100.
Only thing I hate is , the next one will affect my insurance.
(Anyone got any pull in Gallia Municipal court <g>... I'm not too proud to have a
ticket "fixed" if offered <g>)

That sucks about the ticket. Sadly, I have no pull in Gallia County. As for the other suggestions...I have an Escort and love it. But sometimes that just warns you that you're about to be pulled over.

I think Valentine also says that about the Escort.
V1 rocks. It always warns me long before I see the givers of tickets. The one ticket I got since I've had it was because I didn't slow enough after getting warned.

The tickets not really that big of a deal <g>... I just hate having to
be paranoid since it's the second one that's the biggest headache.
I sort of hoped the officer would have noticed with all the electronics
I had hooked up... that there wasn't a radar detector in sight.
(IPOD, Sirius, Cell phone Charger.... looks like an electrical fire waiting
to happen with the 12v adapters everywhere )
(This should have shown good intentions on my part <g>).
I've been thinking of investing in an Escort... guess I'll be on the
lookout for a good deal on one of my bargain websites.
I'd go Valentine... but have problems justifying the dollars.
(I know.. those who have them swear by them. They have great
customer loyalty <g>. )
It's too bad OHIO doesn't have a way to take an online traffic school
to make a first offense ticket go away <g>... I'd go that route if it was
available.

My better half had just reminded me again I'd better slow down (first full day with the MINI) and about 30 seconds later, there's a county sheriff with the radar gun aimed right at me (isn't that illegal )? Well, at this point, I was tooling along at the speed limit. I got lucky..this time.
Sorry for your bum luck; hope that second one isn't unitl after the first one goes off your record...
All jokes aside, my Escort is great! It works really well and has a lot of features that I like.

i have nothing but good things to say about my escort. granted its the $450 dollar version that has GPS....but it saves me everyday. its gives enough warning that I often think its a false alarm because it takes a bit for the police car to come in to sight. the gps feature is used to block out false alarm spots that you pass by frequently, and also alert you of known speed traps.
sorry...no pull in ohio. if you get pulled over in the coalfields, let me know lol
