Cafepress

okay, the store should be up. I am still working on it though as I am trying to teach myself...let me know of any comments suggestions or problems you see with it. you should be free to customize however you want, i think? the sooner you buy, the better as I am using the term ''MINI Club'' Hopefully that won't be an issue, but if it is, i'll have to switch everything to "motoring club"

pardon me as i continue this work-in-progress.

Thanks SnYpR for setting this up! My order is in - everyone will be outfitted. You created quite a selection of merchandise.

Would other people be interested in chipping in to get a banner made?

no problem. let me know if you guys want a different logo, different size of logo, placement of logo, etc. I can go in and make the changes before you order. we are using the circular logo with the blue/white mini, and the mountain logo with blue/black mini

Thanks For your Work

Our entire "family" is attired also (our dogs are ready to motor as well). Order should be here next week. Great idea on a Banner. Count us in to split the cost.

let everyone know how your order turns out. I wont be able to place my order until friday (payday)

Also, one thing that i thought would be REALLY nice is if everyone could get me their favorite MINI picture, either with you and your MINI, or just the car. I will take 12 pictures and compile them into a 2009 Calendar. everyone will have their own month, and if we cant fill12 months, I can use some of the group pictures from the Fun run.

Spotter card idea...

Great idea on the calendar.

While driving to work yesterday, I had a thought regarding spotter cards.

Business cards are a great idea, but fairly small.
I think I'm going to have several copies made of one of the pics from Thurmond
printed up out at Sams Club...

Then print a club 3x5 or so "label" to put on the back... containing club
info, links to NAM , contact email adresses, and a short paragraph about
our group.

Put these labels on a 4x6 photo... and I think that would have much more
impact than a business card or hand written note <g>.

Would probably end up costing about $2.00 for 10 or so of them.

It's not like we're in a major metropolitan area where we'd be handing them
out like crazy <g>.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea. I'd buy 10 to hand out.

There are stickers with our logo available through our store on cafepress.

I like the calendar idea too.

When's the next fun run?

thank you, but COOPERation is the real person to thank. all i did was set up the store...without his logo and 100s of emails back and forth we'd have a logo like this....

Smith Class Pre-owned will pass out info as well

Count us in for 10 to start. Also John at Smith Class PreOwned dealership (#4 Dudley Farms Road) in Charleston is willing to pass out our info as well when they sell a Mini. Debbie showed him the pics from our Sunday trip and he was really excited about it.

Thanks to everyone for your hard work. We're looking forward to our next motoring event as well.

Spotter Cards

I'm off this weekend, so I'll try to swing by Sams Club and make up a test run
of the Photo Spotter cards to see how they will turn out.

My main reasoning behind using those is the fact that they are something we
can do ourselves on our own computers (If you have access to a printer), and
we can change the "design" or photo as we come up with new ones.

The pricing per photo at Sams is 17 cents each. I'll pick up a package of 3x5
Avery Laser printer labels at Staples or somewhere and see how things go.

I'll probably just make a bunch and pass them out at the next run.

Heck, if they work out well enough... we may look to have some laminated
for wet weather "tagging" <g>.

Oh, and WVRXMINI... if you noticed a mailman waving insanely at you on
the corridor yesterday, that was me <g>. (I do my collection run up to the
plant around 5:30 or so, and was heading back down to the annex at 5:45 )

That was quick

Guess what was in my mailbox just now <g>.

Yup, I'm now sporting an official "Country Roads Mini" T-shirt !!!

(Actually two, plus badges <g>).

Wasn't supposed to ship until the 24th . Seems awfully thin material, but I like it <g>.
Design looks great... probably prefer the looks of the white tshirt to the black.

Thanks again Cooperation for the design, and Snyper, for setting it up with
Cafe Press.

PICTURES!

also there are a couple different styles of tshirts. they have a "thickness rating" on the site.

I'm curious as to how the stitching is going to turn out...

Our order should be here Monday. SnYpR - we are interested in doing the pic for the calendar. Preferences for digital pic (size, color, dpi, etc?). We'll try and get our picture when in DC next weekend.

images need to be 11.5x9in or 2300x1800 @ 200 DPI. Also, .png is the preferred file format. So basically crank the settings up on your camera for the highest possible resolution. my 8mp camera does a 2560x1920 max resolution. if anyone needs some help, just let me know. If many people have issues with the large size, I can always scale down the image on the calendar which will give every picture a white border

Our Order came as well

How cute. Looks like there is another Mini in the family as well. We received our order today. The shirts and hats are great. The dogs are even sporting their new Tees as well. We ordered a jacket - I'm guessing the size is 2 sizes smaller than stated on the tag. Also the sticker did not print correctly. We'll contact them tomorrow to see about a return/exchange. Other than that the products look great.

We need a light get together to sport our new clothing. How about a dinner meeting on a Saturday night? We can pick a convenient restaurant in Cross Lanes or Barboursville. What does everyone think?

Dinner would be good, but I work late <g>...

Kim and I would be up for it, but it would need to be late for us to
make it. (I work until 6pm on Saturdays due to the collection part
of my mail route <g>)

Could probably make a 6:30 in Cross Lanes, or 7:00 in B'ville.
(I'd be wearing our new shirt... but would have postal shorts on
to complete my ensemble <g>).

Oh, and haven't posted the pics due to still being unable to find
my camera...

Nice to see staring the Mini love early with the young'ins.

My first Country Roads shirt arrived yesterday so I expect the rest to arrive today (I ordered them all at the same time but I'm just happy that they came so quickly at all). I've ordered from cafepress before and have always been very happy with the products - this is not exception.

The shirt I got is the embroidered one. It looks great!

Just an FYI that Cafe Press is great to work with on their returns. They are shipping out the replacement items (2 day delivery) at no charge to us. They would also pay for the return postage, but this time told us to go ahead and keep the items we were going to exchange.

The rest of my stuff arrived yesterday as expected and also looked great.

I have plans for Saturday evening so I won't be able to make dinner. Is there any interest in having a Mini Marshall Tailgate? I know there was some discussion of it awhile back. (No offense to the WVU or other schools fans....it's just that we have a couple of MU season ticket holders)

Tail Gate sounds fun at some point. Debbie is heading back to Colo. next week, but will be back in mid-Oct, so after that date we'd be interested.
