Hawk Nest Run

Well I already messed up the title.(should be Hawk's) but oh well....I thought our very first MINI fun run should have its own thread. Maybe have a more up to date list on who is attending, and a place to post anything questons/concerns/comments regarding the run.
I know for sure postal and myself are going, so if everyone can confirm here. i'll keep it updated.

I mentioned to him I may end up heading out somewhere the following Sunday too.
(Depending on my Wife's tolerance level <g>).

This might be more of a local "run" for anyone who misses out on this Sunday.
I'm open to suggestions as to where we could go. Thinking probably not a
ton of miles, alot depends on the weather of course.

Now, I'm thinking out loud here. Who all would be up for another run the following
Sunday, the 20th? Or is this too much , too soon (and too much gasoline <g>).

The weathers supposed to be nicer (20 degrees warmer and sunny), this would
allow more participation... and make for a larger get together in general.

Any thoughts? Not trying to do too much early, but would really like to get our
group off to a good start at the beginning. <g>.

I can't go the following Sunday - my boyfriend is doing autocross and it's my girlfriendly duty to cheer him on (actually, I just really like going to autocross with him). Anyone interested in trying that instead of going on another run? I'm sure they'd be happy to have you. WVPhoto goes....maybe he could tell you more. Or, if anyone is interested, I could get more details.

Riverside. We haven't heard much from the Huntington group in awhile.

Hate to be a fairweather driver (at least leisure driver) but if the weather is not better I will probably not be going. Sorry I would love to go, but if it is going to be cold and raining, I am going to have join you on another run sometime.

Regarding the next Sunday I am already booked, with out of town friends.

Ok , the weather hates me.

I've about reached the decision that tomorrow is just not a good day
to try to head to Hawk's Nest. Checked weather dot com, and it just
looks worse every time I check it. Now we're down to showers, then
switching to a steady rain most of the day. High in the low 40's.

With this in mind, I think I'm at the point of dropping back and punting.

I'm going to try to call BcSki... since he'd be the one driving in the farthest,
and see about literally taking a rain check.

With that in mind.... would anyone be interested in getting together tomorrow
in Huntington or Barboursville for lunch?

Thought maybe we could have a few of us meet up, possibly at the mall or
maybe at Famous Dave's if anyone's interested. I plan to do some driving
tomorrow regardless... just maybe more locally.

So... anyone available and up for lunch????

We'll try again later on to run up to the mountains, hopefully we can find a
time that works well for every body.

I'm down with that plan. You can't stop the weather. and after driving last night in the downpour on my way to charleston, i soon realized that I need new tires. i'll be at NTB tomorrow (beside sears) ordering new tires. maybe i'll see some of ya if u end up goin to the mall.

I agree, the weather is the pitts... We may be looking at snow up here sunday eveining . I am out of town from the 18th to the 27th. Maybe I can make it on a run before the golf course demands my weekend attention.

We'll try it again in a couple of weeks. I'm not averse to running up your
way on a mid week day off, at some point.

Barboursville mall Chili's? at 11:45.

That's within walking distance for Snyper at the tire place, anyways....
I'll check online in the morning and plan on being there unless I hear
different. If someone has another preference I'm open to anything
but steak <g>... I'm grilling out tomorrow afternoon.
