Saw a yellow/black with black bonnet stripes "S" parked in front of Pocahontas County High School, Friday night for the PCHS vs Big Creek game. GO-O-O Warriors!
I made the trip to Cincy for all my warranty work and service intervals. If you didn't want to make the drive, I'm sure Smith Motors in Charleston would help you out.

Would I still get my free service or would my dealer have to do those?
I am not positive on how they handle that. I know they sell new MINIs, but they are not an actual MINI dealer, they contract with MAG in Columbus,OH. They should honor any MINI warranty, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have a stipulation that the MINI must have been bought from them. I would just call and ask...may save you a couple hours goin to Cincy.
Whenever I had service, I just made a day out of it. Cincy gave me a rental BMW to run around in while they worked on my car. Theres a good bit to do in Cincy to keep you busy. They had to keep my car overnight once, so they let me take the rental BMW home for a week until I had time to make the trip back down to pick up my MINI. good people.
I purchased and will do service in Cincinnati. They are really nice and place a lot of emphasis on customer service. Be sure that your car says it's time, though. I was originally told at purchase to get the first service at 12,000-15,000 miles. When I was just shy of 13,000, I made an appointment (and the person making the appointment asked me how many miles were on the car). After driving to Cincy, I was told that my car said that I didn't need service for a few thousand miles and to go by the car. They were very apologetic, filled up my windshield washer fluid, gave me a handful of key chains, etc...but it was still a wasted trip to Cincy.

car stuff does a great job. their customer service sucks...and i hate them...but since they do such a good job, i always take my cars there. Im taking the MINI there tomorrow to get my sunroofs tinted actually. Theyre on rt.60 near the newest walmart....almost scross the street from AT&T and Blockbuster.
Sorry for the delay in responding to this....I got my windows tinted at the Art of Tint in St. Albans. They did a great job on my Mini (and on both of my boyfriend's Audis...and he's pretty hard to please when it comes to his cars).

Today, turning on 8th St. from 6th Ave in Huntington, I saw MUShadd (that Hyundai that was flashing its lights was me....but it isn't especially effective when I'm not in the Mini!). I also saw you parked at the Huntington Post Office a couple of weeks ago.
Last Friday, I saw a yellow Mini on 8th St by Ritter Park in Huntington....and she WAVED!!! (I love Mini Wavers!)
And three weeks ago on Sunday, in the evening on I64 near the Cross Lanes exit (when the snow was starting), I saw who I think was GonePostal. We were in my boyfried's RS4 (coming back from the WV Auto Show, actually) so, again, hard to connect if I'm not in my Mini.

Ya know, when ppl say they wave, flash their lights, etc at me...it really worries me that I never notice these things happening....Im not sure I should be behind a wheel, lol. I saw a MINI in ritter park the other day, and they waved at me first, it was exciting.
Also met a fellow MINI owner in Cincy who works as a mechanic at the dealership.... I bought a nice set of JCW brakes from him.
I heard you got quite the deal on the JCW brakes....I guess my boyfriend spotted you on the autocross forum or something. Very nice! It's harder to notice people waving/flashing lights if it's not a Mini anyway.

I am seeing more and more MINI's in the Bluefield/Princeton area. Just saw a Red one on my street in Bluefield. I hope to get some folks together sometime this summer.
This morning, I spotted a Chili Red S with white roof and white sport stripes in Bridgeport, WV.... in my driveway. Yep, it's mine.

Not much new on this thread. I purchased a 2003 Mini Cooper S just a few months ago and in my very small town of Spencer there are a few non S types. The Ford dealer here has been selling used ones quite well after the last big gas scare. I drive about 1000 miles a week and see Mini's often during my drives.
