I suppose MINI sightings are more common now than they were a year and a half ago but I was surprised to see an R53 and an R56 parked side by side at work on Tuesday. First time I've seen any besides ours in the parking lot.

 

I see a couple of MINIs over around 108th and Dodge on a regular basis; anybody on here work over there?

 

I saw a yellow(?) MINI in Lincoln with the plates "CUL2BME" on it. It was in the parking lot of the north Home Depot around x:15 I think. I was hard at work pushing carts, so I didn't note the time too accurately.

 

I passed a mellowyellow and white roof/mirrors/stripes, just like mine on I-80! I waved and she waved and I think we shared a look that acknowledged that we are both about the coolest people in the world!

 

Today at Home Depot, I helped load a roll of carpet into a MINI (R56). They had it sticking out of the sunroof and going back into the trunk. Didn't get to talk to them about MINIs though. The thing stuck out the sunroof quite a bit. It was like some kind of unicorn horn.

 

LOL Grae, that sounds like a funny sight to see driving down the road; a MINIcorn!

I saw the yellow with white bonnet stripes MINI again, this time in Council Bluffs at Menards. I wish I had a CORN card to leave on the windshield. Hanging around the parking lot could be a little weird...

 

I've thought about printing up NAM cards to put under wipers before. I should really do it.

 

Saw a yellow and black R53 with rally lights from 41 county today on 27th down by south pointe. Not sure if you are on here, but thought i would say hi. I was in the cavalier that was covered in parts stickers.

 

I saw a MINI today, mine!

I traded in my 2007 Cooper last week for a 2010 Cooper S.

I had my Cooper in for an oil change and had a Cooper S for a loaner and really liked the extra zip and the Harman Kardon stereo, but I just didn't care for the interior and I was only so-so on the exterior, so I thought I was safe, but no!

I went looking for the gentleman who sold me my 2007 and stumbled across the car I knew would be my next car. It was the Sales Manager's ride, so it had 7,900 miles on it, almost exactly the same as the loaner.

I live in the sticks on dirt roads, so I figured I better get some pics, might be the cleanest it will ever be again.

Took it back to the Iowa/Iowa State game this weekend, drove look a dream....

BTW, I noticed on the list I'm listed in Fremont, can that be updated to Blair, please?

The photo below was taken at the European Car Show today that a few C.O.R.N. members entered. I think it's a '63 or '64, can't remember, maybe someone else who saw it does. It made me appreciate the size of our 2004...LOL! It's a manual transmision, great shape!

Tonight, saw a Chili Red and white R50 out at the airport in Lincoln. They were up at their hangar (P hangars, on the odd side to be exact. :D)....so if you are on here, I was the guy in the Silverhawk truck towing the Cirrus. I was having trouble pushing the plane down the road because I could stop from watching it. It was looking good.

 

also, had a buddy who was at the autox today, here is some pics of a MINI there today.

 

There is a 2011 Spice Orange Cooper S that I have seen in my neighborhood several times. Also seen a Hot Chocolate Clubman around Lincoln.
