Just a heads up for all of the CORN members who happen to be in the GI/Kearny/Hastings area - or anyone up for a road trip, on August 2, the NRSCCA will be hosting an Autocross at the Motorsports Park Hastings.
Track based autocross events are generally some of the most fun - and longest autocross events we do during the season. While you won't experience full track speeds, there will be more driving elements on the track to make up for what you miss in pure speed (top speeds will likely be 50-60 mph in one or two places).
Entry fee is only $30 for non-members and $20 if you happen to be an SCCA member. It should be a great time. The $30 fee includes a weekend membership which is good for $15 off a full year SCCA Membership.
Pre-Registration will be available at Motorsportsreg.com.
I look forward to seeing more than one or two other Minis at this one.
Here is a video (admittedly horrible quality) from the event at MAM a few weeks ago:

I am currently on call that weekend. But I will see what I can do to make it happen. Minis in the Mountains starts the following Wednesday in Colorado so kind of saving tires an money for that. Time will tell.
