Nebraska SCCA 2009 Schedule

Never hurts to plan in advance...

To all who don't know, Nebraska has been selected to host the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships on an amazing piece of concrete at the Lincoln Airpark. Here's the news release. From the one event the club held at the national site this year, its going to be a fun time next year. Here's a video from the 10/19/08 event at LAP. Sorry, its not a Mini.

Tenatively, per the Nebraska Region website, the schedule for next year is as follows:

3/29/09: Mid America Center, Council Bluffs, IA
4/25-4/26: Lincoln Airpark National Site (yes this is a two day event!)
5/2-5/3: Lincoln Airpark National Site National ProSolo Tour Event
5/23-5/24: Lincoln Airpark National Site
6/14: Motorsports Park Hastings Motorsports Mile (solo event on a road course)
6/28: TBA
8/2: Mid America Motorplex (solo event on a road course)
8/22-8/23: Lincoln Airpark National Site MiDiv Solo Championship
9/5-9/6, 9/8-9/11: Lincoln Airpark National ProSolo and Solo Championships
9/20 and 10/4 TBA events.

Overall looks like a pretty good schedule.

Just a reminder - first event is coming up this Sunday at the Mid America Center. Cost is only $30 for non-members. This includes a weekend membership which is good for $15 off an SCCA Annual Membership.

So I guess what you are saying is I should get my brake shoes changed. While I am at it maybe put on my summer tires as well?

Probably don't need to be too aggressive with that - if you don't change them, then the weather will be great for the next week. If you do change them now, we will probably end up with 8 or 10 inches of snow this week.

However, if you are coming to Omaha tomorrow for AX, definitely change to your summer tires.
