Thanks Mike. Well we will see what we do. We are not going back as a group but the good news is it is not far and I think we can arrange a CORN specific event sometime in the spring for a weekend.

Is it too outrageous to think this might be an annual event? It certainly rates right up there with the Dragon and MITM. This was the most fun I've had with my MINI. Thanks for all your planning, Jim!

I agree the Monu-Mental MINI event could be a annual or Bi-Annual event. Just need to find a time that works for everyone. The Missouri Valley Chapter of BMW CCA also does an event up there in the fall. Imagine Iron Mountian Road with "Dukes of Hazard" Fall leaves kicking up behind you.

I posted this link in the MINI5280 forum, but I thought some folks here might like to see more pix from the Black Hills from "the other Nebraskan" who went on this run:

The weekend was an absolute blast, thanks to to the planning of Jim, Jonathan, and Doug. We couldn't have asked for better weather this time of the year. The roads were twisty, the MINIs were spirited, and the people were fantastic. So much fun! Can't wait to see where next year's run will be!

Jim (Kernel) of CORN just wanted to say it was great to see you again and meet your Dad. I had a great time with all the MINI people from the mid-west even tho ya'll talk funny. Your videos are great and the pictures others posted were also. I will learn to post next time. After we seperated Sunday coming back I made it to St Joseph Mo and spent the night. Got to St Louis and traffic was terrible so I just got off and went downtown and went in the Arch and visisted the Budweiser Brewery. Then on to Lexington Ky for the night. Got pulled outside of Corbin for driving a little to fast but no ticket, just flirted my way out of it. Got home wednesday morning 1230am to Charlotte NC went straight to bed, unloded car the next morning and took 1 1/2 hours to get them Nebraska bugs off the front! Hope to see ya in Copper Mtn in August. God Bless, Luke p.s. Nebraska is a beautiful state!
