I was just wondering if there were any seriously modded ones around the midwest area. I myself have been a huge fan of dyno queens and anything that goes fast down the 1/8 or 1/4 mile. I don't have a MINI currently but my Tundra is sitting at 381-hp and 405 tq. I plan on supercharging it and getting it up to 500-hp plus. I have an SRT-10 Ram with the Viper, powerful but heavy. I would sure like to find some Cooper S's in the higher hp numbers like around 250 plus.
I don't know what's in Nebraska, but in LA there are a 500hp daily driver MINI and a 600hp drag strip MINI. Tuls who is now in the south east is somewhere in the 350hp range I believe on his daily driver that happily did the trip from LA to NC (I think that's where he is now).

Would I get better milage if I had less fun?
Well my Mini is named Shelby Jr., not for any reason under the hood as of yet. The Hubby is still too busy modding his 2007 Shelby GT500. My car will have to wait for now. It's in line at least.
It's never been "officially" recorded, but I'm quite sure my MINI's boot holds the record for going from perfectly clean to filthy - at faster than the speed of sound.

Has anyone been watching the Street Tuner Challenge on Speed? I was quite disappointed with what Fireballed did as in adding horsepower to their car with it having so much done to it. I was also shocked to see the '07 Cooper S only pulling 123-hp at the wheel.
