I'd be curious to see how a RMW 2.0L "stroker" would work in a Cooper (non-S) application... I could see that possibly putting out some decent numbers while keeping a stealth appearance...
Definitely won't be cheap, though...

Is th general concensus on the lightweight crank pulley doesn't do much for the N/A cooper? I was looking at that mod and felt it may be worth the $150 pricetag.

Well, to me, that's the equivilant of a single plane manifold on a V8. Great high RPM power, nothing down low. There's no runner length to create velocity and therefore, low end torque. With that, you'd have to have the head and cam to back it up, also. But, I'm sure with a good top end, quality exhaust and requisite tune, 140-150whp wouldn't be out of the question. Opinions?
I'm very happy to see this thread! I've been discussing back and fourth with PGT about getting a CooperS vs. the Cooper.
The devil on my shoulder is telling me to get the S. Coming from a Legacy GT I will be missing some power.
But than the angel on the other shoulder is telling me to get justacooper for the fuel savings since I have a bit of a commute and mod it to my likings as I go.
UKSUV, I'm going to do a 6-spd swap too. Which flywheel did you order? Why? I'm going to get a lighter one myself adn am shopping. Found them from about 10 to 13 lbs (i think). Lighter is better, right?
OK, says right there in your post you have Fidanza. How do you like it? I've heard about 'chatter' at idle... any problems? why did you choose that over any others? Just trying to make an informed decision.
