are those gear boxes really that sensitive ? I have another "non mini" car that's making 600+ solid plates and disks on a stock gear box that that are known for going bad been driving on for a few years now.
im not looking to make cazy power or anything the mini is my daily im just wondering if I can get away with just swapping the disk and trans

I'd first try comparing part numbers.
Go to OEM parts and they'll have them listed.

This should help if you haven't already seen it. I attempted this when my throwout bearing blew itself apart. I ended up replacing the clutch kit as theres a handful of little parts that are needed to make it work properly.

NO you need a cooper S clutch and flywheel to make it work. We have done more of these conversions than anyone and it is really nice when done.
We just use the valeo kit as it is cost effective and has all you need.
