Factory Alarm Installation

Has anyone had any experience in having a factory alarm installed after delivery? I have a Clubman S. There seems to be a wide difference in prices at the dealers in my area. They range from $550 - $900 for the alarm parts and installation. All dealers indicate that the actual installation is pretty straightforward, but the re-programming can take almost a whole day.

Thanks -

We've installed the R56 alarms here at the shop and they only take about 1/2 an hour to 45min. It's very straight forward, but the programming of the car reprograms the entire car so that can take all day depending on the car. Programming R56's is a real pain due to the software involved. It's not fast and sometimes a module will crash and you have to start over, that's why it can take all day.
