are mini cooper hood interchangeable from 01 to 08

I am fabricating 08 mini cooper light on a 1974 vw bug.now her is my problem I have o8 light but they dont fit the mini cooper hood i have. i dont know what year the hood is.

Knowing what year hood you have is important.
All the Mini Cooper hoods were the same from 2002-2006. The convertibles hoods ran from 2004-2008. All the lights were interchangeable on all the listed years so far.
If you have a 2008 Cooper hatchback headlight, you cannot fit that onto the years listed above.
