Some questions about the intakes for the R56 mini

Hi fellow Nam's. A couple of weeks ago I installed the K&N apollo Cai on my Cooper R56 and i quite like it. Dont think though it gives 8bhp+ as potn and K&N told me but still it gives some better sound...

But what i dont like with this intake is the "sucky" hose that goes from the apollo to the front of the car...

But what I wonder is wich intake is the best to use:

K&N apollo
K&N Typhoon (even though it dont have a heat shield)
Or the oem intake with vip's air tube + K&N filter.

Maybe there is a another intake that i have missed?

With best i mean = sound and performance.

Thanks.

8.92HP increase, dyno verified. I use the JCW intake, which is good enough for me.

~~EDIT~~
Oops, I just noticed this is in the Non-S section. I am not sure what is available for the Cooper's of the world.

Are they not only for the Cooper S? Super ags = S? And JCW too?

The AGS and the JCW are only for the S. I just have an open cone for now and I really like the sound, although I'm not sure of any performance gains. Besides the VIP (which really isn't worth it), and the K&N, there aren't any intakes made for the non-S that I know of.

I must, respectively, disagree with the last statement. I really like my AirVIP2, as it is simple to install, nice growl and gives an increase in throtle responce.
