The natural sound of a normally aspirated Mini... (hardcore)

Yesterday i was at my workshop, i installed a few bits i had, meaning a Fidanza 3.6kg flywheel, Janspeed header, Powerflex control arms bushings, and front R53 sway bar. It took the whole day to complete everything, and unfortunatelly the exhaust shop was closed when i got there, so i didn't manage to fabricate the de cat pipe... Which i did today.

A taste of what was happening last night...

YouTube - MIni Cooper sound with just Janspeed header

It was so loud, but so I N S A N E, if the car wasn't a daily drive, i would definatelly pull a pipe to the side of the car In real it was much louder than what it seems in the vid... I floored it in 1st in a street with cars and shops left and right, and i managed to get all the alarms on in a 500m radius I am lucky i didnt spend the night in the police station

great sound mate, I should do a video of my car, I have custom header and a Milltek catback and it's pretty loud too, the best videos I have so far are these ones but I should do a better one:

Gotta drive around in parking garages. Always set at least 2 or 3 in each floor. I make sure to always park in the last level, of course. lol.

All kidding aside, I don't really like that it does that... People don't always enjoy the echo of alarms in a garage...

MINIs were the best sounding cars at the Koni Challenge races... while the SC sounds cool on those cars, the Tritec with proper "ventilation" has such awesome sound all by itself - it's like a symphony.

Hey, I'm considering the Megan exhaust. waylen told me no real power gains...maybe 2HP? But, is there any notice in throttle response or fuel economy (when you're not mashing the throttle! )?

As far as headers go, are they worth it without P&P'd heads or cams? No emissions here in KY so I can do the cat delete

oh btw Nick, I sent you a message on youtube. Forgot you are on NAM.

Or you can run no exhaust like I do. Nothing is louder. Especially, if you have no interior or heat shields...
