Wanted- OEM air intake lid. Please HELP

This is my first post and I hope it is in the right section.
I just purchased a 2003 MC and when checking the air filter noticed that the tabs of the intake cover, on the non screw down side have been broken off. So the problem is it does not seal properly on one side.

I was wondering if anyone who has changed their intake has a spare intake cover that they don't need and are willing to sell? Or if you happen to know where I can purchase this Item? I have looked around but have yet to find it.

Thanks for your help.

I'll check to see if I still have mine somewhere in my garage. If so, it's yours for just the shipping cost.

If you can't find one, you can do a search for an old thread on DIY repairing the one you have. There were several different fixes offered. I fixed mine with a small drill and stiff wire (replacing the broken/missing tabs). There is still a picture of the repair in my gallery if you want to see what I did.

I'll have time over the weekend to search the garage and I'll let you know one way or the other.

Take this opportunity once you find the cover to upgrade your drop-in filter. Makes a bit of difference that is entirely noticeable and doesn't necessarily effect your car's performance adversely in any way at all!

Ironic....when I discovered the tabs on mine were broken off, I was upgrading to an ITG drop in filter. At the time, the car was still in warranty, but I didn't want to drive 200+ miles for a replacement.

Actually I was checking to see what was in there for a filter or if it need to be replaced. Turns out the previous owner had put in a K&N which was pretty clean. So I just purchased the recharger kit. Looks good as new now. Thanks for the thought.
