Windshield wiper Cowl panel removal

I need help in figuring out how to remove the Windshield wiper Cowl panel from an 07 Cooper hatchback. I'm trying to install the alarm system in it and I thought the hardest part was going to just be getting the wiper blades off. but I got them off and have removed the bolt and nut that looks like are the only things holding it on (on the outer edge) but I can't seem to get it to come up. I've tried running a plastic tool along the glass rubber and that doesn't seem to be holding it but it seems like something is holding in on in the back side (along the glass edge). The alarm instructions say to just remove the Left side but I even removed the bolt and nut from the right side also and still can't get either side to come up.

Can anyone give me any help in doing it the correct way to keep me from breaking them?

Appreciate any help I can get.
Mike...
