Help with the apollo intake

Hi im new at this forum and i have a question about the apollo Cai that im installing on my Mini cooper R56 -08.

I have come to the part that i need to Insert the flexi cold air hose
into the end of the Apollo cold air lid & aluminum end cap. But the caps seems to small to fit onto the hose !?!?

How am i supposed to do? Do i need to use some force?
And also the aluminium end cap doesn't fit in the hole that the oem plastic cap was fitted on...Is it supposed to be behind it?

You really need to take your time and work it onto the cap or take an easier way like i did and buy a new hose that is plastic from your local auto shop. Makes it a lot easier and wont fall off like the aluminum hose did on my cai.

by the way dont force it on, it just makes it harder to put on. I suggest putting half of it on first then slowly working it on till u get back to where you started. If that makes any sense....
