use a search, basically, CAIs installed supposedly ~8 HP MAX, Exhaust 2-5 HP MAX.

Search for air intake, almost all the indepth threads go into detail with dyno charts or talking about performance increase.

I'll watchjing this thread as well to get some more up to date relevant posts.
It seems that for the Non S, cooper there are limited possibilities.
Thanks! I'm waiting for VIP to come out with their exhaust in December and plan on giving that a hard look.

I own a 2008 Clubman, non-S. I installed the VIP 2 CAI and then went to a local exhaust shop and they installed a magnaflow exhaust system. I don't know for sure how much my hp has increased but response is quicker and it feels like more power, especially in the mid range. My mpg has improved by 2-5 mpg in town and somewhat more on the road.

I have an 08 MCS with Alta CAI and Alta stealth oval tip exhaust. I did not dyno before nor after but my guess is a gain of roughly 10 whp.

The car does give an impression of better mid-range and top-end power. Did not really affect my MPG average. I love the deep sound of the exhaust that is not yet loud enough to be annoying.

Sound clips of those two systems would be awesome! most of the clips on the net are of the cooper s.

just heard from Van at VIP Custom and he told me that it would be some time before they would sell the exhaust and could not tell me a date but would let me know what is the status in about 2 weeks with it, this was on the 3rd of December, so if I hear anything else from him i will keep you informed about it.

Update on VIP exhaust. They put it on hold due to not enough people emailing them with questions on it. They are looking to get about 10 or more emails questioning them about it and then they will release it.

I have a DIY cone intake (rather popular here) and a custom pieced Magnaflow. Put a Magnaflow resonator in place of the second cat and stock resonator, and a Magnaflow muffler in place of the stocker. I'm very happy with the sounds my car makes. Under hard acceleration the intake is louder than the exhaust, not a bad thing IMHO. I don't have any sound clips of the exhaust (poor college student without a point and shoot) but over spring break I'll make some videos.

Here is a video from the interior with only the intake installed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DX4uZoi_pq8.

As far as performance, I don't have any numbers, but it most certainly pulls harder and feels much more responsive. Not a huge gain, but definitely makes a difference. Gas mileage improved about 3-5 mpg on the highway, unless I put my foot in it... then it goes down 2-5 mpg. City mileage improved about 1mpg, unless of course I get on it...
