Boot handles

This is a long shot, but will a boot handle from an 02-06 model fit a 2007+?

Also: have there been any posts here on how to replace the handle?

It won't fit (how it's supposed to at least). The older ones were a lot smaller.

As for taking it off all you have to do is unscrew the 4 torx screws underneath it and then disconnect the wiring harness. Make sure the harness doesn't fall into the door!!! Otherwise you have to take the inside panel of the hatch off... not hard at all, but still annoying.

Is yours broken?

I know this is an old post but.......I got the boot handle off but I couldn't disconnect the wiring. I dont know if I was trying to disconnect the wrong thing or what. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty sure I just pulled really hard and it came apart. There might be a clip to pry first though.
