i have rims for my mini, and the lug nuts are to big for holes

what are the sizing of mini lug nuts and where can i find lug nuts that will fit. I need a smaller head on the lug nut so it can fit in the holes of the rims.

When you say lug nuts my guess is you mean lug bolts unless you have converted your MINI to studs and lug nuts. If you have a newer MINI (late 2006 and on) the lug bolts are 14mm diameter threads. Previous to that MINIs had 12mm diameter threads. Many aftermarket wheels only have holes big enough for 12 mm bolts. If the threads fit through the hole in the wheel and it is just the bolt head that does not fit in the wheel, then you can purchase lug bolts with different size heads. Check with radusadirect.com.

If you really need lug nuts, do a search for tuner nuts. Most tuner nuts are a smaller diameter to fit aftermarket wheels. The tuner nuts use a special socket key to install the nuts.

From 06/2006 and on, the lug bolts are M14 x 1.5 pitch.
Before 06/2006 the lug bolts were M12 x 1.5 pitch.

If the threaded portion of your lug bolt is too big to fit through the wheel holes, you can also get a 14mm-to-12mm conversion stud kit from Texas Speedwerks.

The studs are 14mm where they screw into the hub, and then neck down to 12mm so they can pass through your wheel holes. I put them on my car because my autocross wheels wouldn't work with the stock 14mm lug bolts.
