Survey: Most Popular Just A Cooper Exhaust

Hello Cooper brethren/sistren(? made that up),

I'm doing a survey of the most popular MINI Cooper exhausts out there. Please go here and vote. Write in your candidate if I've not discovered it yet, I'll update the list. It is a 1 question survey. 1 click and done.

Please take the survey:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?s...LTQVeCpA_3d_3d

If you care why: There is a thread on the "S" side that describes the Exhaust options for the R53 MCS.

Here it is:
http://www.northamericanmotoring.com...ad.php?t=23789

It is a very useful thread, and just lately, I took it over since the original starter is no longer a MINI owner.

There is no parallel thread here, and PurpleFenderMan (hereafter "PFM") said - "Hey, I wanna help you put together a Guide for us Cooper folks!" (Right PFM?)

From this survey data, we will create a guide that has pictures, links to reviews, sound and video, hard data on the type, materials, etc. of the top exhausts (or until PFM gives up on me).

So - hit it boys (and ladies)!!!

Scott P

edit: ^^^ oh, hay, that was me!

Voted other which would be the miltek. Best sounding justacooper exhaust in my opinion and I've heard them all.

Other comments I left: Low rumble at idle, screams at the high end, and has no highway drone. Resonator has been known tohave a baffle come loose and rattle (really annoying) and requires getting the exhaust replaced (or just that part) or cut the resonator out all together or have it replace with a glass pack. I went the glass pack route and noticed no change in sound. Rattle is gone, though, which is what I wanted.

If I was to go with a different exhaust it would be the megan.

i have a magnaflow + DDM intake combo, and my car sounds epically awesome imho.

not subtle by any means, it does drone at some speeds esp at zero throttle (engine breaking at highway speeds) and my roomate can hear my coming from a block or tow away...

the sound is addictingly awesome (which doesn't help my gas mileage)

Noone claiming to have one yet. Only 20 votes thus far. Keep bumping to get this in front of other owners.

They don't make one. At least, not that I know of and I just went and checked their site after I saw that.

MyMini, (now Minspeed), touring exhaust. Nice deep tone and it never has the annoying resonance of some aftermarket systems.

Oh, wow, is the Borla worth every penny or what. Very nice, deep rumbly-ness at idle, not a hint of rice at all. Even a slight pop at idle. I'm sure it'll sound rediculous after some miles and break-in time.

Someone thinks they do - actually I think it was the Powertone. M7 doesn't sell anymore, but company sells direct.

Yep - I'll be darned. Picture from Powertone.com:

Heard great feedback about it, and I like the sound.

You're gonna love it. Very deep, no buzz, no drone, very quiet at highway speed. Overall, excellant sound. It's close to this but better in person:
