Just wait Boosty. One wrong comment and some colors will start to show from some people. But generally yes, we are all pretty accepting of what people like to do to their cars.
Welcome.
This forum is much more accepting to modifying Coopers. I can not stand anyone on MINI2 anymore
Thank you all for not being asses.
NAM ftw!
Just don't ask about CAI 's or what kind of fuel you can use in your mini and last but not least never use the word "best" without clearly defining parameters and/or goals . . .
Dude, that's funny...... I joined both here and MINI2 at the same time, and I've found myself over here all the time verses MINI2.
I post questions over there, and it's like crickets! Nothing! So I'm with ya!
So bare with me here.... what is a TSW engine damper?
Oh, and I like the neon
I'm kinda pissed... went to a new shop yesterday for service because they are recommended as BMW/MINI specialists.
The car's good... need new lower control arm bushings tho.
What burned me up was when I asked the guy about doing mods, he basically said since my MINI wasn't an S, there reaslly wasn't anything I could do to it, and I'd be wasting my money. His suggestion: buy another car.
WTF??? Ok, so I guess I'll be taking my money elsewhere then.

Well let me be the first a$$ !
Don't bother with the damper. Spend your money on new engine bushings. You can get lower bushings that do a better job with stopping the engine movement and then add the upper ones just for icing.
Get the VIp damper. I have been very pleased with it and there is no NVH, yet a markable difference in acceleration. One of the best mods I could suggest for justacooper.
I have the TSW engine damper, but with poly inserts instead of rubber. I added it after changing out my motor mounts to poly. When you swap the motor mounts, it keeps the engine much more stable under acceleration and deceleration, which helps the power get to the ground more effeciently and increases overall driving stability, IMHO.
