TSW Springs require Camber Plates?

I've heard that lowering springs will prematurely wear out front tires if camber plates aren't installed.

Is this true of the TSW springs as they were designed to work w/ OEM? Would a good alignment be sufficient to alleviate the wear issue?

I have an R50 with 22mm rear Hotchkis comp swaybar.

Thank you.

T.

Good to hear!

Did you need any special tools for this install? I understand it's a little tight fit on the right front passenger side.

Lowering your car will not change the camber in the front....so there should be no problem with tire wear.

The rear camber will change when you lower the car....and that could potentially wear the tires faster, but it really shouldn't be that much camber.

Lowering the car with any suspension will necessitate camber plates to promote the best handling experience and tire wear. The car will be fine without them, but for the minimal cost, you might as well install them when you have the strut out . You can get a set of fixed camber plates for about $200.

I don't know if the R56 has rear camber adjustment. They added minimal adjustments to the 05-06 suspension.

The R56 has the 'minimal' camber adjustment front and back now....you can change the front camber a tiny bit stock without plates.
