MINI Cooper S parts to MINI Cooper

i ve posted this accidentaly in other place... so if anyone erase it i would apreciate it

Hi!

I have a Mini cooper with the following Mods...

Mini cooper S gearbox (163bhp one)
KN panel air filter
Ngk Iridium
Mini Cooper s Shocks(don't know if this is the correct word)
Eibach lowering springs
MTH tuner file(for 98 octane fuel)
and 1 or 2 things more that i am not remembering..

I went to a rolling road and i have 130+ bhp

Recently i have had the opportunity to grab everything i want for a symbolic price from a cooper s(talking about the engine)

I don't want to supercharge it...

I'm thinking in things like...
cooper s throttle body (put it yesterday)

But i don't know what else can i get from that engine(cooper S) that i can put in mine..

For example...

cams? is it worth it?
take the "head" of f,polish it, and install it on my one?

I would love to hear suggestions...

BTW is there an FSE for the Onecooper?

i need power...(no need to say to buy a cooper S or to switch the engine...)

Thank you..

The head would be good to hold onto. Have it ported by a good machine shop that way the car is still on the road while the work is done. Swapping the cam with probably do little if anything. As far as the TB, I'd say use that as a core and buy a new one for the NA motor. It's still too small of a bottleneck for any kind of real gain. The internals might be good to hold onto for a future power adder build-up.

The head of the Cooper S is identical to the Cooper one. Same part numbers. The only difference are the valves, which are the same size but different material.

Thank you for the answers!!

I thinked that polishing etc.. the head that i have, would give me some good hp gains....

Is it worth it??

Remember that is an almost free part! so i can do whatever i want with it!

As far as head mods go, porting the intake and exhaust is good but limit polishing to exhaust only. A polished intake port dosen't promote turbulance and turbulance promotes a better switl pattern. A better swirl pattern means a more uniformly distributed air/fuel ratio.
